Funds for future’s foodies
Budding young Shropshire foodies can apply for financial help of up to £1,000 to help achieve their career dreams.
Ludlow Food Festival has set up a bursary to help young people to build a future in the local food and drink industry.
The Graeme Kidd Memorial Bursary, a tribute to one of the Food Festival’s founders who died in 2009, aims to enable local people, aged between 16 and 25, to develop their skills, experience and ultimately their career whether as a chef, food and drink producer or at front of house. The Bursary will be awarded to individuals who live within a 30-mile radius of Ludlow who would not otherwise be able to move forward in their career.
Any young people who are interested in benefitting from this bursary should call the Ludlow Festival office for more information on 01584 873957 or email info@foodfestival.co.uk. Application forms must be in by the end of February.
