Cooking demonstrations and tastings will be on the menu at this Friday’s Shrewsbury Food & Drink Fair.

HEART of ENGLAND fine foods (HEFF), the regional food group for the West Midlands, is attending the event in The Square this Friday (March 5) with its demonstration kitchen.

In addition to the producers selling their fantastic regional food and drink, there will be a rolling programme of cooking demonstrations and tastings promoting local produce on the HEFF demonstration kitchen.  Representatives from The Shrewsbury Market Hall and Ludlow Food Centre will be enticing visitors with their produce and sharing their foodie knowledge and tips from 10.30am – 4pm.

Lesley Mackley will be demonstrating for The Market Hall cooking up some fabulous dishes using locally grown produce and some of the superb meat that is sold by butchers and producers in The Market Hall.

Ludlow Food Centre will be promoting their award winning jams, cheeses and breads and carrying out tastings for visitors to the food and drink fair. 

The HEFF demonstration kitchen is also due to attend the Shrewsbury Food and Drink Fair on Friday, May 7 and Friday, June 4 with more demos and tastings to promote regional food and drink.
